Our Head of Coffee Dave is taking a couple of our roasting partners to visit Ethiopia and meet Moata Raya, founder of coffee exporter Mecota Trading, who will be taking the group to visit the various farmers that he works with.
Having visited many of the farmers local to Bensa, Moata takes the group to the local mill, where the majority of these farmers are keeping their coffees until they decide who and where they will be selling it to. There is also a mill in Addis which Moata uses and has colour sorters.
