Sumawe primary school is a school in the region of Karatu, which Ngila also operates in. Since 2005 Ngila has been supporting the school with funds from roasting partners. Additions Ngila has made include installing solar panels, connecting the school to the power grid, constructing roof gutters, and providing water tanks, books, and desks.
The team are now working on a new water harvesting system for the school, and Ngila’s director Vera Stücker has also received a certificate from the district council acknowledging her contributions.
