Following new legislation in Nandi County that prevents the purchase of coffee cherries by individuals, Sidney Kibet of Lot 20 is happy to report that he’s been able to register his Nandi Hills site as a cooperative, which will allow Lot 20 to continue working with local farmers in the area. This new group is called Kolik, meaning the cooperative of growers.
Meanwhile, Lot 20 has just hit the amazing milestone of 1,000,000 kg milestone for cherries received this harvest! The season is now winding down, though the team expect to receive cherries in reduced amounts until the new year.
