Sidney Kibet of Lot 20 is arranging for farmers in the Bomet region of Kenya to receive training and form their own groups for processing coffee. He tells us that his home county of Bomet has no proper infrastructure for coffee production, with many farmers lacking access to washing stations or enough clean water to produce washed coffee.
Because of this, Sidney is putting together some training sessions on best practices for processing natural coffees, the first of which will be run next week.
Having registered 17 farmers already, Sidney is excited for the potential single farmer lots that this initiative could lead to.
