The Excelsa seedlings that Equatoria have distributed among local farmers are now growing into proper coffee trees, so today the team have been running training sessions on composting, tree maintenance, and proper pruning. Pruning is a particularly important requirement of Excelsa trees, as they have a tendency to grow quite tall without intervention, making harvesting a bit more of a hassle for farmers.
In the afternoon a storm hit, and the group took shelter away from heavy rain and golf-ball sized hail!
