We’ve just received an update from Vera at Ngila Estate about the ongoing harvest in Tanzania.
She tells us that despite the organic fungicide that the Ngila team uses, during July their crop was unexpectedly hit with a wave of coffee berry disease. Because of this, their yield this year is likely to be lower than originally anticipated, particularly affecting designated washed coffees and red honey coffees.
The team are planning to begin hulling coffee on the 7/8th of October, so will have a better idea of quantities around the 10th, and can then start sending out samples.
