Mount Sunzu is collecting a few profiles of their key staff, and the most recent to be recorded is Brian:
“My name is Brian, and I work as a supervisor here at Mount Sunzu. I’ve held different roles on the farm over the years, but what I enjoy most is being out in the field, working shoulder to shoulder with the team. Especially when the job is tough I feel most proud. I am there, giving my energy, I know others will follow, and together we’ll get it done. That motivates me. What brings me joy is seeing people respond when I guide them. When I say something and they understand, that makes me feel something in my heart. It means the work is not just done, but done well, together. When I have free time, I use it. I grow maize on the side, and this year I’ll harvest a strong crop. That’s important to me, using my own power to provide, not just depending on one job. And when I’m not farming, I love football. Watching but also playing with friends. It makes me feel happy inside. I’m also now able to live with my family, which wasn’t always the case. Being together with them every day, sharing meals, sharing time is what completes the picture for me.”
