‘My name is Elizabeth Mikanyu, I work as a team leader in the green house. Everyday I start at 6am. I check what the people in the night have done, I check the depth of the layer of coffee, if the turning is done well, I check everything . I work here for two years now, from the beginning. I like interacting with my team mates, they are good people, I do not have problems with anyone.’

‘Before I got this job, I worked as a waitress in a hotel in Kasese. I prefer this job much more, I get paid more than in the hotel, where I got paid 50,000 a month. Here I get 10,000 a day, so around 220,000 a month.’
‘I have two children, one is in primary and the other is going to school next year. I stay with my parents, after I got divorced 2 years ago. I support my parents, my parents are very happy I contribute. My dream is to buy land for my children and to build a house.
‘I wish my daughter and my son one day will work at this factory as well.’
