Life is very hard for us, you see, when we cultivate and get something to eat just for one night. We have different kind of plants. Before the disease came, we could put plants with the coffee. But as you can see, the soil is not good at the moment. If you don’t put fertilizers, you cannot harvest.

I already cultivated coffee with my husband during the period of the crisis.

We started more than 25 years ago. Before, refugees were on this land. When we got the crops we put them in this land.  We needed the crops to help us live and help our families survive.

The land we have is very small.

I don’t know the exact number, because there are other areas where we also have coffee trees. We have 3 lands in total. My husband knows the exact number, I do not know it by heart. It will be over 200 trees.

Everything makes us happy, beans, corn… all makes us happy.

When cultivating coffee we also plant beans. In the field we put other plants, like bananas. Cultivating coffee brings us income and we also put beans in the field.

When cultivating coffee we have difficulties to get the grasses to cover the land.

Because of the coffee we get what we need to help our families survive.

To get what will help us in life. I hope that I can buy the copy books for our children in September, when the children go back to school.
