Many farmers in Ethiopia do not produce washed coffee, as it requires the use of a pulper machine, which many farms do not own.
Our Ethiopian partner Mecota Trading has been working on sourcing disc pulpers for the farmers they work with, to give them the option of producing washed coffee.
We at Omwani are currently considering the donation of funds for disc pulpers as one of our Producer-Led Projects.
