‘My name is Chris Bwambale , I am 37 years old, I have 4 children, and I am the operations manager of Agri Evolve. I started with Jonny from the beginning, 2,5 years ago.
‘I was the team leader when we constructed the office in Kisanga. When that office was ready, we started buying coffee from there. From where we started and from where we are now, that is a very big change. You should see this factory in the peak of the season, when it is buzzing with activity, the factory is booming by then. Everybody is busy and happy. We buy more every season and we employ many people in the villages around us. If we keep up this speed of growth, the region will change significantly.’
‘It makes me very proud to be part of an initiative that is truly changing the region. The community sees that we are a good initiative and being part of this, makes me feel very excited.’
‘Agri Evolve has helped me a lot. It has improved my life, I am now far better, let’s say 75% better than when I was in the tourism industry where I worked before as a team leader in a guest house. I pay my school fees in time, I have improved my house considerably and even I am still building. I get paid in time, I pay my sisters school fees, my family is very happy with me.’
‘This region can improved so much, people are planting more coffee, they gain knowledge about improving their crop. So yeah, the community is also very happy. They get good money, they are paid cash, there is no delay in payment, they can arrange for transport of their coffee and they can get trainings.’
‘In my free time, I like to take my wife and kids for a drive to the National Park and we look for elephants and other animals. When we go, we relax at Kasenyi, we eat something, we take some soda’s, it’s perfect.’
